OFFPIPE Detailed Capabilities:
The latest release of OFFPIPE is a
sophisticated, full-featured computer program created especially for the solution of
structural analysis problems encountered in the installation of offshore pipelines.
OFFPIPE provides a complete set of features and
capabilities for the analysis of offshore pipe laying operations. It is in use all over
the world, and has become accepted as the industry standard for offshore pipelay analysis.
A partial list of companies that use OFFPIPE includes Shell Oil, McDermott, Exxon,
Statoil, HBH, and Global Indus.
OFFPIPE is designed for use on the IBM-PC and
provides a menu driven, interactive user interface that allows data to be entered by
filling in the blanks on a series of color screens. This data entry system includes a
context-sensitive, on-line help facility that allows OFFPIPE to be used, in most cases,
without reference to the comprehensive User's Guide.
OFFPIPE includes an interactive user-interface
for previewing the program's printed output and for plotting its calculation results on
the screen of the IBM-PC, and on plotters and laser printers manufactured by
Hewlett-Packard and others.
OFFPIPE is a large and sophisticated computer
program representing over 200,000 lines of source code. It is supported by thorough
documentation which includes example problems that demonstrate the programs many features
